unfortunate day

As usual mom calls me whenever she likes... so I did not question why she called right after lunch hour. She sounded quite sad, so I ask "Is there anything wrong, Ma? You sound sad".

Mom was sad coz our house got broken into yesterday noon when no one is at home. Everything was untouched, except the main door been broken, and the dining room window coz the burglar tried to get into the house through the window, unlucky for him that we have quite a good window grill, and my parents room itself. They ransacked all the things in the room, obviously searching for the most expensive things that they could carry by hand. They took away a safe box which contained 3 passports (mom, dad, young sis), 1 IC & driving licence (elder sis) and some precious memorable valuables. Mom wasn't too happy with what had happened, but thank God that my young sis wasn't at home at that time too! That would be so scary, they might just hurt her or something...

Had lodged police and insurance reports, so hopefully they will get back some good news for my parents. Right now, we have to bear some cost for repairs and perhaps tighten the security at home coz the only people living in the house are my mom and dad.
