Something new

Hello again my fellow bloggers and avid readers.

This is already 3rd week of my new role as a wedding planner in the company and so much ahead to know and learn. Everyday is a learning experience for me and I meet new people every hour really! As easy as it may sound, I believe this job requires one to have strong personalities; tough in dealing with customers and patience. It is not about catching up the job prescribed to me as paperwork is just a mild issue. Comparatively, my last job does not deal so much with 1-1 customers, I need to know more than the customers otherwise bad verdict. What I also realise is that no matter how right you are, the management will blame you for being neglectful in your job. I believe this is the challenge I am facing - to avoid being framed as much as possible coz in the end, the company only wants to know the results - not the process.

This job has taken up much of my personal time and sometimes I thought is this all worth doing. Even thinking over, the pay I asked for was it too little as to what I am going to sacrifice for the company? So much to question. Anyways, I hope I will stay longer than I thought I wouldn't be because not everyone now has the opportunity to secure a job.

On the positive side, my new "family" at the workplace is good bunch of people to work with! Helpful, cheerful, understanding and accommodating, and perhaps more.... It is surely an environment most people would want to work in a company rather than not knowing who is sitting right beside you. I am quite adjusted to the people around me and maybe once I am being confirmed the job here, I will have a whole different perspective about the company and its people.

So friends, don't forget to buzz me if you're planning to hold your wedding soon. I'll do my level best to realise your dream wedding! Cheers.

It's all part of the job. Thats wat I always say to myself each time I'm working the extra hours. It comes in the package and its whether u are willing to take everything in the package or not. At the end of the day, is up to u to decide whether you are willing to take this challenge or not and whether you'll learn what you need from staying put.

That's what I'm experiencing la. Just to share :) Working is also another method of learning new things, ya? I'm sure as the time goes by, you'll be more well-versed in how to conduct those difficult customers. You'll get the hang of it so, do ur best li!

Gambateh! ;D
